Just Move

Explore, play, and get outside

Here you are, smack dab in the middle of one of the world’s most incredible landscapes. You’ve just got to get outside and soak it all up! There are countless ways to explore Uluru on your own two feet (or two wheels!) Maybe you just need to stretch your legs and move around after a day of travelling, indulge your competitive spirit on the tennis court, or cool off with a dip in the pool. At Ayers Rock Resort, we believe that wellness encompasses body, mind, and spirit – and we offer our guests tons of options when it comes to staying active while having fun.

Hiking

We believe one of the best ways to explore Uluru and the surrounding areas is on foot – the way people have done for thousands of years. Why not make your own tracks in our reddy-red dirt and head out on a hiking adventure at Ayers Rock Resort? There are plenty of trails to choose from – quick strolls on easy terrain, challenging multi-hour hikes, and everything in between. Kit up with layered clothing, plenty of water, and loads of sunscreen, and prepare to be amazed on your own two feet.

Of course, the base of Uluru is an incredible spot to explore, but don’t forget about Kata Tjuta, too. If you want to learn more about the history and geography of the area, a guided tour is just the thing. Or, set your alarm for an early-morning wakeup (we promise it’ll be worth it!) and set out on a sunrise trek that will drop your jaw. Lace up your hikers and let’s go.
